JP Sensey（ジェイピー センセイ）は、アフリカの中でも特に音楽が盛んなコンゴ民主共和国出身のギタリスト、ベーシスト。「音楽の都」首都キンシャサで、ソングライターやプロデューサー、ゴスペルシンガーなどのミュージシャン一家の中に育つ。幼い頃からギター、ベース、ドラム、パーカッション、ボーカルを習得、才能を発揮する。5歳の時に教会でドラム演奏を始め、注目を集める。

　有名なバンドのギタリストとして、数多くの演奏ツアーに出演。アフリカ各国、主にケニアやドバイ、アジアと活動を広げ、現在日本、東京在住。幅広い分野の音楽に精通し、ソロ活動の他にも様々なジャンルのバンドで活動中。

　ギター、ベース以外にもドラム、パーカッション、ボーカルもこなすマルチプレーヤー。又、ソングライター、音楽プロデューサー、レコーディングエンジニアとしてレコーディングやアレンジも行っている。

　歌に溢れ、独特な感性、力強さと繊細さを兼ね備えたプレイスタイルは「まるで音楽のために生まれてきたようなギタリスト」と評され、観客はもちろんミュージシャンから高い評価を獲得している。

　伝統楽器の演奏やダンスもこなし、早稲田大学での講演や、外務省、大使館主催行事、日本各地の学校の芸術鑑賞音楽コンサートなど数多くのイベントに参加し、国際交流にも従事している。

　JP Sensey is the guitarist and the bassist from the Democratic Republic of the Congo which is particularly popular in music among Africa. Born in a family of musicians such as songwriters, producers, gospel singers, JP grew up in “music capital” Kinshasa. From childhood, he show talent of playing guitar, bass, drums, percussion and vocal. and gain popularity including a drum performance at the age of 5 years old at a church.

　JP performed as a guitarist of several famous bands with a lot of tours. and he has career in African countries, mainly Kenya, Dubai, Asia, currently living in Japan, Tokyo.  He is on a wide range of music savvy and working in various genres bands in addition to the solo career.

　JP Sensey is a multi-player that also performs guitar, besides bass, drums, percussion and vocals. Also he is recording and arranging as a songwriter, music producer, recording engineer.

 　A play style filled with sparkling melodies, combining unique sensibility, powerfulness and delicacy is said to be “Guitarist like as if born for music” and has won high acclaim from musicians as well as audiences.

　JP Sensey is also experienced in traditional musical instruments and dance, gave a lecture at Waseda University and participated in numerous events such as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Embassy’s sponsored events and school art appreciation music concerts in various parts of Japan and also engaged in international exchange.
